I am from Iowa originally, have a degree in business from Iowa Wesleyan College, and am a veteran of the United States Navy. My wife, Sue and I have been married for 36 years and share a blended family of 8 children and 15 grandchildren. We enjoy spending time together as a family.

We support many area charities and business organizations with our time and treasure which include the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM), and are board members of The Cypress Creek Foundation for the Arts and Community Enrichment (FACE.) I served as a board member and continue to support Boys and Girls Country, NW Harris County chapter of the American Heart Association and the Houston NW Chamber of Commerce.
